NOTE* This rifle is a Parts/repair gun,missing the butt stock/screws, barrel band and the rear sights. Scarce Stevens No. 418 Walnut Hill Jr. target rifle. Manufactured from 1932 to 1940. This rifle was designed as a single shot falling block target rifle chambered for the 22 LR or 22 Short cartridge. The left side of the receiver is marked "TRADE MARK/STEVENS/REG U.S. PAT OFF & FGN.". The right rear of the barrel is marked with the two line address, "22 LONG RIFLE" on the left rear and a circled "P" at the breech. The serial number is on the lower tang. 26" heavy barrel, Globe/blade front sight with prism,checkered beavertail foreman, barrel drilled/tapped of sights/optics, no tang sight, receiver slotted on left side mounted sight, the barrel blue is mostly there with some patches of light pitting below the muzzle, case color receiver is about 60%,action and extractor work well and the bore is very good/bright. Restoration or parts option.
